Braces

I have braces now! (Actually, can't wait for this to be over. Why can't we have pretty teeth overnight?!)

After:

Rebonded hair with new haircut too. Haven't done anything major to my hair for a year now. Really glad that it's not that damaged anymore. I'm gonna do something about my hair colour soon.

Past few weeks have been clubbing almost every Wednesday and Friday and finally the urgency of school work struck when the deadlines are near. Nonetheless, I feel more fruitful than ever. I rather struggle to achieve balance than to bum around not knowing what to do. It makes me feel alive and that's a good change. Went for open class just now and it feels so good to be dancing again. Gonna audition for USS in 2 weeks' time! Wish me luck!

Hello!

I've decided to not blog about the Taipei trip anymore because of several reasons. First, I have more pressing issues at hand like completing my assignments and study for my tests. Secondly, it was way too long ago, (last year December) and I am sure many of my readers have been to Taiwan before because it is very close to Singapore. If you're really interested and are on my facebook, I have photos about the trip and my friend made videos on it so feel free watch my tagged videos.

Hope you had a good time on Valentine's Day. For those who are single, this goes out to you too.

TW dance trip Day1&2

Finally, getting to this way overdue post.

To be honest, I wasn't really excited about the trip initially because it had been dragging on for about a year before things get finalised. If you hadn't know yet, this is a trip that our school had promised to take us on during 2010 when we started to rehearse and take part in the first ever Chingay dance competition representing the school (although it has absolutely nothing to do with Hip Hop). Did the competition is 2011 Chinese New Year period and we were supposed to set off in June 2011. Instead, we flew in December. Also, the company wasn't the best of choice and I'm not in the club any more. So, that's a whole different story.

The first night in Taipei, I had to get my fix of bubble tea. 50嵐 is in fact the KOI in Singapore. And it was, meh. I'll give it a 4/10.

First dinner - steamboat in the cold weather was max awesome. Apparently this shop seems to be really popular as the walls of the entire restaurant is a wall of fame. Check out the signatures of celebrities.

Taipei 101 is visible in the distance from opposite our hotel.

Our first lesson at DanceSoul with Denis on Day 2.
 Locking class.
One of my favourite night markets in Taipei. They have loads of street food here. I didn't really get to take loads of interesting photos as I was busy eating and it is really troublesome to keep on switching between my wallet and bag and my camera and the food. Also, it was raining most of the time for the entire 10 days.

The legendary 1 litre bubble tea store.

Mango Ice in the winter? :D Me Gusta.

Day 3 and more coming soon...
Taken from the night when I was on the way to Mink. That place is awesome. Been clubbing quite a lot lately over these few weeks. Did a flea on Saturday and it went pretty well, made a little profit. Most importantly I got rid of most of the things. Had a pretty rough week, hopefully things will take a better turn since it's going to be Valentine's Day/Forever Alone Day. Fuck yeah. Kind of addicted to reading 9gag.com recently. All thanks to crazy friends who incorporate those terms in everyday conversations. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go read 9gag and rage comics. You are missing out!

Life's Good

Life is good so far in 2012. It's going to be Chinese New Year soon (coming Monday) but somehow I don't have the mood to shop for new clothes. Just started re-organising my wardrobe and I'm beginning to get headache from it judging from the amount of clothes I emptied from the wardrobe. There's a lot of clearing and tossing to do.

Have been hanging out with different people almost everyday for two weeks now. Happened to bump into Stuart in school and the very next day we hung out at Bugis before my Japanese class. Met up with WingYee yesterday for a short meetup at Causeway Point before I went to give tuition. Met up with Grace and Jessica today in orchard and still managed to squeeze in a facial appointment in between. It was a bit messed up though. I didn't know that I was going through with the whole thing because I thought I was just going to inquire with my brother's doctor and I end up going inside and did the whole thing. Grace had to go back to school at 7pm for a lecture and I didn't get to go back to Starbucks to look for her.

Walked into a metal kind of wall thing which holds up the shutter of Cold Storage at Taka. It was really embarrassing as it was really loud. So loud that everyone around turned and looked at me with shocked face. Both my knees hurt and I also hit my head. Urgh... Was distracted by the Taiwan 7eleven mascot candy on display. I thought that was only available in Taiwan so I was really surprised to spot it in Singapore (a rare sight). And unfortunately, my head was turned and the pillar kind of thing was right in front me which appeared out of nowhere. They should really re-evaluate the design of that part of the mall. Urgh. It's IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PATHWAY!
Thank God the bruise isn't big! We'll see what happens to it in the next few days. ):  Poor knees.
