A Blissful Week

Recently my boyfriend just had his Passing Out Parade, and so, he had one week of block leave. It's been a long time since we've spent an entire week together.

Unlike previous years, the parade was held at the floating platform instead of at the training school itself. Went there with my qing ai de Jessica (her boyf was there too). We had to be seated by 7.45am and it's been such a long time since I was up and out that early.

Beautiful backdrop of the Marina Bay Sands.

Tiny like ants. This was the maximum zoom on my camera.

Finally weaved through the crowd and got on the field.

Super happy boy after marching for 24km.

The very same week, we went on board the Superstar Virgo. It's my first time on a cruise. There's pretty much nothing interesting to do on board. I'd rather laze by the pool and tan all day and have a sumptuous meal at the end of the day and listen to some good o' music over some drinks at night. But we went out when the ship was docked at the terminal so I didn't get to tan.

The view from our room when we boarded. It was facing resort world sentosa.

Visual tour of our spacious room:

There weren't much to do the first night and there wasn't any interesting shows so we explored the place and ate and ate. Food not very fantastic though. Service was bad too. With these two factors combined, you can forget about me patronising again. If I were to be managing this.... it would be .... Forget it. I'm not some undercover boss or what.

The next morning I woke up to this gorgeous view when Alvin pull the curtains. If only I knew the weather is so good, I would totally force myself to wake up no matter how tired I may be. The bed wasn't that comfortable and the pillow is as flat as a piece of cardboard and the bed was vibrating cause of the engines. It took me a long time to finally fall asleep in peace.

Damn, should have went upstairs for a hearty breakfast and some sun bathing in the jacuzzi.

The alluring ocean scent. Hmm... I like.

See how the entire cruise can't even fit into my camera frame at this distance.
We went out shopping with Alvin's mum and her friend in Malaysia. Exactly where we went. I really don't know. Somewhere, the taxi brought us to.

The only activity we went: Chocolate Madness Party. LOL. The crowd was super happening there.

Wanted to catch the magic show and the one with the contortionist and etc.. but we missed it. Because we went for a swim, got on the slide too, and we literally took our own sweet time doing everything and end up missing out.

Cute right! This little boy was swamped by the aunties who were drinking and dancing to the band and the little boy got really freaked out and cried.

Oh, did I mention that Alvin's friend from army was there on the cruise too? His name is damn cool la. Ben See - which sounds like Mercedes Benz in Cantonese. His brother is Roy, so Roy See - which sounds like Rolls Royce in Cantonese.

Guess what did we get from the whole experience at the end of the trip. S$50 from the casino as a result of trial and error at a couple of games. Ha. Which then became the prize for the best dressed at Alvin's bday (day after we got back from the cruise), themed - Fashion Disaster.

Before the party, we managed to find some time to head down to the Ben&Jerry's ChunkFest. Don't you think that MBS makes our skyline looks so beautiful? The weather was perfect that day. Windy and Sunny at the same time. The only thing was that the grass was super muddy and sticky due to the earlier rain.

If only we went there with a larger entourage..

I wanted to get this manicure. There weren't a lot of people but the manicurists take forever to finish one set of nail art. In the end we spent all our faircoins on ice cream instead and we headed back to the party.
