Finally, getting to this way overdue post.
To be honest, I wasn't really excited about the trip initially because it had been dragging on for about a year before things get finalised. If you hadn't know yet, this is a trip that our school had promised to take us on during 2010 when we started to rehearse and take part in the first ever Chingay dance competition representing the school (although it has absolutely nothing to do with Hip Hop). Did the competition is 2011 Chinese New Year period and we were supposed to set off in June 2011. Instead, we flew in December. Also, the company wasn't the best of choice and I'm not in the club any more. So, that's a whole different story.
The first night in Taipei, I had to get my fix of bubble tea. 50嵐 is in fact the KOI in Singapore. And it was, meh. I'll give it a 4/10.
First dinner - steamboat in the cold weather was max awesome. Apparently this shop seems to be really popular as the walls of the entire restaurant is a wall of fame. Check out the signatures of celebrities.
Taipei 101 is visible in the distance from opposite our hotel.
Our first lesson at DanceSoul with Denis on Day 2.
Locking class. One of my favourite night markets in Taipei. They have loads of street food here. I didn't really get to take loads of interesting photos as I was busy eating and it is really troublesome to keep on switching between my wallet and bag and my camera and the food. Also, it was raining most of the time for the entire 10 days.
The legendary 1 litre bubble tea store.
Mango Ice in the winter? :D Me Gusta.
Day 3 and more coming soon...
